NEW GUIDANCE FROM THE GOVERNOR REGARDING TRAVEL TO/FROM CHURCH
On Friday, the Governor's office released new guidance that clarifies that the constitutional right to worship will be respected and citizens do not face arrest or prosecution for leaving their residence to come to the church.
With that, I am happy to announce that you may come and listen to our EASTER services in the Church Parking lot as another means to gather around Christ and His Word. TELEPHONE AND INTERNET BROADCASTS WILL CONTINUE.
IN PERSON WORSHIP ALSO CONTINUES -- BUT.....
Services are still conducted in the church itself.
In order to maintain social distancing, there are only a VERY LIMITED NUMBER of seats available inside for those who desire to attend.
Communion is offered at EVERY service.
PLEASE - only plan to come inside if you intend to receive Communion. If you are NOT receiving Communion but another member of your household (someone who lives with you) is, you may join them.
PLEASE - To allow as many as possible to partake of the Lord's body and blood this weekend, only plan to receive Communion ONCE during the Easter weekend (Communion will be served at the Saturday evening VIGIL and at both Easter Morning services {7:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.}). ALSO NOTE --> COMMUNION is being served at *ALL* regular Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday services EVERY WEEK. You may still come to the parking lot and listen to the service on 88.1FM even if you are not communing.
PLEASE - ANNOUNCE TO PASTOR DENT IN ADVANCE if you are planning to attend in-person and receive Communion. Call the Church office (989-446-4972), call or text Pastor, leave a message on the Church's Facebook page, or send a message to Pastor Dent on Facebook.
RESTRICTIONS ON BUILDING USAGE:
1) ONLY MEMBERS (and non-members who have attended AT LEAST TWICE with us this calendar year) may enter the building.
2) The ONLY OPEN ENTRANCE will be the HANDICAP ENTRANCE to the FRIENDSHIP CENTER. The door will be UNLOCKED and PROPPED OPEN approximately 30 minutes before service begins. The door will be CLOSED AND LOCKED ONCE THE SERVICE BEGINS. If you arrive late but would still like communion - remain in your car after the service and await instructions (leave your radio on 88.1FM)
3) Upon entrance you MUST sanitize your hands using the sanitizer by the door. Proceed up the ramp to the sanctuary. If the sanctuary fills, the UP ramp will be blocked. Proceed down into the fellowship hall where there is overflow seating.
4) HYMNALS will be on the rolling cart as you enter. THERE ARE NO BULLETINS - Hymn/page numbers will be listed on the board and announced during the service. LEAVE YOUR HYMNAL IN THE PEW OR ON YOUR CHAIR at the end of service.
5) SIT ONLY IN THE PADDED PEWS - ONE HOUSEHOLD (people who live with you) PER PEW. If your household is SMALL (1 or 2 people), you may share a pew with another SMALL household so long as you sit at opposite ends of the pew (one at the window, on on the aisle with a minimum of 6 feet between households). If you are in the Fellowship Hall - DO NOT move chairs between rows. You may move chairs SIDEWAYS as needed but keep at least 6 feet between households.
6) There will be a receptacle for your offering at the entrance to the sanctuary and at the entrance to the fellowship hall.
IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS OF ANY ILLNESS, you may NOT enter the building. Please contact Pastor Dent to arrange for communion or other pastoral care.
IF YOU ARE AT HIGH RISK - (eg. immunocompromised, advanced age, have cardiac or pulmonary risks, etc.) - you are advised NOT to enter the building during public worship times. Contact Pastor Dent to arrange for communion or other pastoral care.
